APIT-BARCELONA, founded in Barcelona in 1977, is a non-profit professional association of Licensed Tourist Guides of Catalonia, the fundamental missions of which are: the defense and promotion of the professional, social, financial and cultural interests of the associates; to act in representation of the profession before official organisms of the national, regional or municipal administration and government; likewise to guarantee that the profession is exercised with due respect for the deontology, the good practices, the rights and requirements of the recipients of our services, in the best public interest.

Our challenge is, therefore, to offer high quality services for our clients and interested parties of society, giving them an added value in that we have a Quality Management System based on the UNE-EN ISO 9001: 2015 regulation.

Consequently, in APIT-BARCELONA we are committed to invest every effort in order to:

Guarantee excellence in the totality of the services provided.

Satisfy the needs of our clients and our associates.

Bring the profession closer into public awareness.

Ensure the updated training and preparation of the associates to perform the services.

Inform all the personnel in the association of how the Quality Management System functions and the objectives we intend to achieve.

Promote the constant improvement of the services and the management system.

Ensure that the association’s personnel is committed to the quality management strategy and the quest for permanent improvement.

To comply with all legal requirements and any others the association may subscribe.

By carrying out such actions, APIT-BARCELONA commits itself to permanent improvement and to maintain the efficacy of the Quality Management System
